Browser-Based Online Proof Reviewing Available
As part of its online proofing product, Proof-it-Online has released what it described as an enhanced browser-based reviewer application.
The company's Reviewer Interface adds features and new upgrades to create an improved online proof review operation that is claimed to be easy for first-time users and robust to support advanced users' complex approval processes.
Proof-in-Online said that it has built the new system on its current Reviewer Interface, which gives the reviewer the ability to mark-up proofs and approve them online.
The new application features claimed fast loading support for multiple file type review, quick select markup tools, annotation stamps of standard proof reader marks and single-step proof routing to additional reviewers or review teams.
Reviewer Interface also provides the ability to rotate proofs for better viewing and a streamlined confirmation page that provides a summary of the completed review.
The company added that Reviewer Interface is one part of a two-sided application that streamlines the approval process.
Users post files needing review and approval to their Proof-it-Online Workspace.
Then, clients are automatically notified that their proof is ready to review.
They are then taken to the Reviewer Interface where they have the ability to mark-up their proof, set the approval status and return the proof to the user.
Proof-it-Online tracks all changes, adding a time and date stamp to all activity and updates the approval status for real-time progress reports.
Rob Munz, president and founder of Proof-it-Online, commented: "By working with our customers, we've developed a user friendly interface that incorporates features that closely mimic the hard-proof approval process most reviewers are familiar with.
Now customers have instant access to the communication and review tools they use most often.
These updates solidify our next generation Web 2.0 functionality and use today's most of the current internet technology." Proof-it-Online's web-hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products are said not to require downloads, installations, or software purchases.
All application enhancements are available at no additional cost to customers.
