Industries, a UK manufacturer of quality activity stationery to the retail and educational sectors, has installed an Edale Alpha flexographic press at its Saltash factory in Cornwall.

With the new four-colour machine the company that specialises in stationery and holographic products will be able to increase capacity and meet the growing demand for its products.

Established in 1980, R.D.

Industries said it has grown substantially over recent years through innovation and investment.

The company's export market is set to expand further as the manufacturer continues to win contracts with major retail stationery chains worldwide.

C ommenting on the Alpha, Dominic Hill, R.D.

Industries' general manager said: "We produce an extensive range of educational products in various paper and board and therefore were looking for a machine that combined versatility with print quality.

After attending a print demonstration at Edale's Romsey showroom it was clear to see that the Alpha was capable of achieving this and much more." The Alpha is from a range of presses that can offer an large number of print stations and various value-added options including hot and cold foiling, combination drying and dual gearing.

With over 50 years experience in the design and building of flexographic presses for the label, carton and packaging industries, Edale claims it is able to custom-build every one of its machines to a customer's specific requirements.
