R.D. Industries, a UK manufacturer of quality activity stationery to the retail and educational sectors, has installed an Edale Alpha flexographic press.
Third Edale Alpha Flexo Press In 18 Months
Paragon Labels, the UK's largest label manufacturer has taken delivery of its third Edale Alpha flexo press within 18 months of receiving its first machine.
"We were immediately impressed by its unique design and excellent print quality," recalled Maksim Legonkikh, co-owner of Geomax.
The Alpha has a footprint of just 2.5 square metres and employs the same helical-geared print heads as the company's successful B-range.
Available with up to five colours and designed with accessibility and ease of use in mind, the compact press can convert a wide range of label, packaging and ticketing substrates.
"After extensive market research we identified an increasing need for four and five colour work.
For this reason we chose to invest in the five colour Alpha and can now offer our customers the best possible value in terms of print quality and specification.
Within days of the press being installed our production output rapidly increased.
Soon we'll be investing in another one," continued Maksim Legonkikh.
Edale's new sales and support partner for Russia, VIP Systems in Moscow are preparing themselves for a busy 2004.
"There are already a number of Alphas in Russia and Kazakhstan," said Nikolay Veber, VIP Systems flexo product manager, "and this number is set to rise as many more label printers begin to recognise the benefits of the Alphas big press performance." Edale will be exhibiting at Drupa 2004 (May 6-19) on stand 16A46-8.
