Windle, an Englishman living in the Netherlands for 21 years, has a strong background in the printed packaging sector.

Edale's Bernhard Grob said: "It is time for us to explain to our existing and prospective customers in the Benelux countries the advantages and added value our flexo presses can offer.

It is important to add value to a partnership.

"Over the last few years Edale has modernised to keep pace with its continually improving products, hence the companies success in its home and key export markets such as Germany, France and Spain," he added.

Today, 50 per cent of Edale's presses are added value machines for labels, packaging and carton applications said the company.

The latest, servo driven, shaftless Sigma packaging printing press in with a web width 330mm - 720mm has received orders from USA, Belgium, Middle East and the UK for shrink sleeves, packaging, cartons and label production.

The Alpha starter press, of which nearly 100 have been sold into 25 countries, has seen a five-colour UV flexo press installed in Holland.
