UK narrow web flexo press manufacturer Edale has secured its first order in South Africa.
The Alpha press is a compact flexopress and on the stand there will be a fully functioning four-colour all UV Alpha with a 250mm web width, printing a high quality cosmetic job on self-adhesive pp.
The company believes that the Alpha press exemplifies economical advantages with relatively lower costs, smaller footprint, quicker set-up times and the possibility of shorter runs making it viable to produce a variety of jobs without substantial cost of offset printing.
An Edale customer that achieved those benefits, Bogdan Fitali, commented: "Our decision to diversify in to flexo was because there is still plenty of growth, but one has to choose the right press - in our case a five-colour UV Alpha." Information on Edale's full range of presses, including the modular Beta, servo-driven Sigma and the newly launched, servo-driven, converting Lambda, will also be available on the stand as well as demonstrations of the Alpha press, which will be held daily.
