Off-line RFID with Lambda RFID

An Edale product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Aug 22, 2006

Edale used Labelexpo USA 2006 to launch its latest most advanced off-line RFID converting concept.

This is in collaboration with Tamarack and is the most advanced on the market.

One of the many key features is the total flexibility and re-configurability of this innovative platform concept.

The RFID market and its application are relatively young.

Such a converting concept must be able to re-configure, adjust and upgrade at short notice but also at relatively low cost.

This is all possible with the Lambda due to its servo driven platform.

The Lambda-RFID can also incorporate other speciality off-line converting features such as multi layer and booklet label modules.

This makes the Lambda a complete multi-function/application converting machine.

As volumes for RFID labels are still relatively low, off-line converting is more cost-effective than 'all in-line'.

This enables each machine to be used to its full potential at all times rather than underutilising a complex 'all in-line' press and lowering its investment return.

In the future as volume levels increase the Lambda-RFID can be incorporated in a 'total-in-line' printing and converting press.
