Stationery Producer Invests In Edale Colour Flexo
R.D. Industries, a UK manufacturer of quality activity stationery to the retail and educational sectors, has installed an Edale Alpha flexographic press.
Jeremy Westcott of Edale commented: "We are delighted that our first UK Lambda order is with this company, which has kindly offered us the use of its facilities to demonstrate the machine to potential customers.
Furthermore, we are very pleased that the machine is going in to this industry to be producing a product at the cutting edge of technology." The directors of the labelling company commented: "The plug and play philosophy behind the Edale Lambda is perfect for the highly specialised niche market we operate in and the flexibility of reconfiguration sealed our decision to be the first UK pioneers of the Lambda concept.
With Edale's excellent technical support, we are very excited by the commercial possibilities of this investment." Said to have been developed through experience in the manufacturing of value-added printing and converting machinery, the Lambda is claimed to be a bespoke but flexible system.
The 'plug and play' technology allows specification of various configurations and the open-architecture design enables easy adjustment, reconfiguration and upgrade, said Edale.
The Lambda can be configured to any single or multiple web paths imaginable, thus enabling the running of multiple jobs simultaneously.
The system is also claimed to combine high production speeds, short job change times and ease of use and, as a result, investment risk is minimised.
Market applications for the Lambda range from security to medical, RFID to coating.
