Workflow and Print Management From EFI

EFI is to present its Oneflow workflow solution and its new Logic SQL management system in the UK at MIS 2004.

EFI is to present its Oneflow workflow solution and its new Logic SQL management system in the UK at MIS 2004.

They will be featured along side Printsmith and EFI Hagen OA, to provide an end-to-end print management option for virtually any printing operation.

Oneflow is a PDF-based prepress workflow solution designed for the digital and offset production environments, providing an easy to use, cost-effective software interface incorporating pre-flight, trapping, imposition, screening and a RIP Once Output Many (ROOM) architecture for almost all computer-to-plate, computer-to-film, direct imaging or digital printing environment.

Logic SQL is claimed to be an easy to implement, full-scale system for medium to large printing operations with a mix of digital, web, sheetfed, or specialty processes.

It offers a quick path to full-scale automation in a flexible and easy to implement system.

Printsmith is flexible print shop management software for small commercial printers, quick printers and retail printers.

It automates all aspects of the smaller print business including estimating, production, accounting and more to save time and resources.

There is also a Web-based catalogue ordering site for Printsmith users.

Hagen OA is aimed at large scale printing operations.

It integrates a robust and advanced accounting package with high-end applications for job management, purchasing, receiving and fulfilment.

Also on display for the first time in Europe will be EFI's latest add-on modules designed to integrate and add value to the Hagen and Logic solutions, including Printflow Dynamic Scheduling and the Printersite Internal, a web-based specification and job status tool with direct mapping of specification data into estimating and job planning.

Also on show will be Printersite Fulfilment, a new web-based catalogue ordering system and a new cost-effective direct machine interface (DMI) for sheetfed presses and finishing equipment, Auto- Count 1000.

EFI will be on Stand 5 at MIS 2004.
