EFI has announced the appointment of Lead Srl to distribute Oneflow, its PDF-based pre-press workflow system for small to mid-size print shops, in the Italian market Lead Srl is one of the main Italian value-added distributors of graphics and communications devices in PC and Macintosh environments

Lead operates in four different market segments: printing, networking, storage and accessories.

It provides ad hoc solutions aimed at optimising production and increasing business productivity, offering end users the capability to build quality products at competitive prices.

"Lead has considerable industry expertise and an excellent reputation, having successfully distributed EFI Proofing solutions with Best technology in Italy for many years.

We are pleased to be working with them to consolidate EFI's position within the Italian market," said Paul Cripps, Managing Director of EFI.

Oneflow allows users to build custom workflows and automate pre-press functions to streamline digital and offset printing and proofing.

It automatically converts files to PDF and performs pre-flight, trap, impose, correct, RIP and soft proof amongst its features.

EFI claims it easily integrates into any computer-to-plate (CTP), computer-to-film (CTF), direct imaging (DI) or digital printing operation.

It allows centralised job and device management to deliver accurate colour, improve overall document quality, reduce turn-around time and increase productivity and efficiency.
