EFI Colourproof Now Available For HP 9500 Printers

EFI's Colorproof Laser with Best technology now supports the HP Color Laserjet 9500 series printers, offering an affordable solution for producing consistently accurate concept proofs, as well as cost-effective, yet high-quality short run print.

Colorproof Laser is a digital proofing system that enables users to deliver the same colour accurate proofs they would get from an inkjet with the speed, enhanced throughput, and lower cost advantages of digital laser printing, claimed EFI.

It combines three key proofing components into one - a true Adobe Postscript-RIP, integrated ICC colour management, and production and nesting tools.

Used in conjunction with the HP 9500 printer, Colorproof Laser produces accurate colour representations of output on a press quickly and easily, said the company.

Files can be printed directly on virtual Postscript printers or placed into hot folders to automate the proofing process.

Also available to support the HP 9500 is EFI Remoteproof, a complimentary quality assurance tool that enables users to not only transfer files with the settings and profiles needed to create proofs at remote locations, but to also numerically verify the accuracy of those proofs.

Colorproof Laser runs under Microsoft Windows and offers all network users up to 15 input channels that can be individually configured for quality, colour simulation and output media.

EFI proofing systems are available for the HP Color Laserjet 9500 from EFI certified dealers and distributors.
