EFI is offering copies of its guide, the 'ABCs of VDP' in both English and German languages to help printers successfully implement a personalised printing program by choosing the best authoring tools and digital printing servers and engines.

"Variable Data Printing is one of the fastest growing and most profitable areas of digital printing, but choosing the right solution is often challenging," said Kathy Wilson, EFI's VDP product manager.

"EFI said it developed the 'ABCs of VDP' to provide a clear overview of the basic technology and benefits of Variable Data Printing as well as to explain how to create successful marketing campaigns that increase response rates.

We received thousands of requests for this guide when we published it earlier this year and so we have undertaken a German translation to make this valuable information more widely available." The full colour handbook includes chapters on EFIs VDP systems, samples of VDP campaigns and a dictionary of common terms.

The guide also describes how to mount a successful marketing campaign by integrating VDP into existing digital printing workflows and addresses key issues that will help printers understand how they can streamline workflow, reduce costs and roll out successful VDP campaigns.
