EFI, the digital imaging and print management software provider for commercial and enterprise printing, has appointed Christopher Paisley to its board of directors.

EFI, the digital imaging and print management software provider for commercial and enterprise printing, has appointed Christopher Paisley to its board of directors and that he will chair the board's audit committee.

Paisley's career includes 15 years as senior vice president of finance and chief executive officer of 3Com Corporation.

During his tenure company revenues grew from $50 million to nearly $6 billion annually, landing 3Com in the top 300 of the Fortune 500 list in 2000.

Paisley is currently the Dean's executive professor of accounting and finance in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University (USA).

Prior to 3Com, he served as chief financial officer and vice president of finance at Ridge Computers, and began his career at Hewlett-Packard.

Paisley earned an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and serves on the board of Brocade Communications, Volterra Corporation and Silicon Image Incorporated.

EFI chief executive officer Guy Gecht said: "Chris's impeccable financial credentials, his hands on understanding of technology companies and his deep knowledge of today's complex financial accounting regulations will bring strong oversight to our audit committee, as well as contributing to the overall leadership provided by our board.".
