Production Response Digital Proofs Response
London prepress company Production Response is providing clients with a more efficient digital proofing service, following the installation of EFI's proofing software incorporating Best technology.
This is the second consecutive year that Command Workstation has received BERTL's Best Award recognition.
"Command Workstation was selected for its combination of high functionality, ease of use, and compatibility with a wide range of devices," said BERTL Chief Executive Officer Carmel Rowley.
BERTL analysts annually review new and current products and services in the digital imaging industry.
Following research and competitive analysis, it produces a shortlist of products or manufacturers that it considers representative of some of the finest examples of digital imaging technology and innovation to date.
EFI Command WorkStation provides centralised print job management of one or multiple EFI Fiery-driven devices.
It automatically identifies Fiery servers on the network, and offers customisation options so users can choose how to display information about connected Fiery servers most efficiently.
Also noted by BERTL were new features available with Command Workstation 4.1 (in conjunction with Fiery print server technology).
They include EFI's Colorwise Pro 3.0 color management tools, Spot-On Color Matching for creating and managing custom spot colours and Fiery Freeform for handling variable data printing.
Tim Evans, digital service manager at New York-based Imageking Visual Solutions, said his staff relies on Command Workstation to manage his fleet of Fiery-driven printers and digital presses more efficiently.
"The Command Workstation is the easiest interface for an output device that I've encountered.
It cut down training time and makes my staff much more productive.
It also allows us to correct errors early in the production process, instead of at the end, saving additional time and resources," said Evans.
