EFI has appointed Multisum as a reseller for its Printsmith management information system in the Netherlands.

The appointment will see Multisum sell Printsmith version 7.0 through its established sales network in the Netherlands.

The company already benefits from familiarity with other EFI products through its role as a distributor for the Edox Document Server.

Ton Geerts, managing director of Multisum, commented: "It's our belief that EFI is the leading supplier for print management solutions and we are delighted to be responsible for the Printsmith system in the Netherlands.

In addition to Printsmith, Multisum will also be responsible for reselling EFI's Digital Storefront web-to-print system and Sendme scan-to e-mail system." Printsmith is a print management information system (MIS) for small commercial printers, print and copy shops.

With a claimed 6,000 customers worldwide, it includes integrated tools for estimating, order tracking, shop floor management, invoicing and receivables.

Printsmith version 7.0 features new product attributes that include the ability to open multiple invoices and estimates simultaneously and the copying of jobs from one to another to accelerate estimating and invoicing.

An enhanced costing system allows users to identify costs during order entry simplifying the costing process at job completion said EFI.

Enhanced list price estimating enables users to base prices on the quantity ordered, press sheets or press sheets plus bindery waste.
