Production Response Digital Proofs Response
London prepress company Production Response is providing clients with a more efficient digital proofing service, following the installation of EFI's proofing software incorporating Best technology.
The company launched its software suite of colour management tools claimed to extend the level of colour management and workflow control established by EFI's Fiery system.
The new software incorporates JDF connectivity and is said to automate digital workflows, whilst facilitating the movement of job details, including job numbers, descriptions, parts information, colours, production counts, and start and stop time - between formerly disparate technologies, in real time claimed EFI.
EFI's Colorproof XF is the company's new, scalable and modular client and server-based proofing platform.
It features expanded proofing and performance with cross Windows and Mac OS X support and compatibility with the current JDF job-ticketing standard.
It recently earned the top ranking in the international Digitalproof Forum as the leading ICC-based proofing product said EFI.
A first-time technology demonstration with EFI and Xerox products was also on display on the Xerox stand.
Xerox has combined with EFI to bring integrated MIS and digital print to the industry.
The demonstration showed how jobs could be submitted directly from the Hagen print management system into the Xerox Freeflow Process Manager - an automated, JDF- enabled pre-press workflow product that is part of the Freeflow Digital Workflow Collection.
EFI showcased Oneflow, which is claimed to be the only PDF-based pre-press software to provide centralised management of multiple digital, offset and inkjet printing devices.
It allows print shops to automate pre-press functions to automatically convert files to PDF, preflight, trap, impose, correct, RIP and soft proof.
Oneflow 2.0 is now being distributed.
On display for the first time was Printersite Exchange, which enables printing companies to deploy storefront web sites to let them do business with customers over the Internet.
The product provides job submission, job ticketing and job status tracking, along with e-commerce capabilities.
