EFI will hold the sixth annual Connect users conference from June 12-15 in Miami, Florida.

Customers of the company will present information about improving the return on investment (ROI) of their print management systems.

More than 800 customers and industry leaders are expected to attend the conference, believed to be the largest of its kind in the print industry said EFI.

The four-day conference will offer participants an opportunity to discuss industry trends, test the latest software updates, exchange ideas and attend a range of educational and keynote sessions.

"Connect 2004 was a huge success and we're planning even more innovations this year to make the event more relevant and worthwhile for our customers.

It is our opportunity to meet with customers in a friendly, interactive environment to share the information, tools, expertise and support that will help them be more competitive and profitable.

It will also help us better understand their needs for future development," said Marc Olin, vice president and general manager for EFI commercial print systems.

The Connect 2005 programme will feature general sessions and more than 150 breakout sessions, with practical applications and discussions tailored to print management information systems (MIS) customers as well as sessions on workflow, digital printing, JDF and other emerging technologies.

Hands-on demos and exhibits will help customers added EFI.

"Attending Connect helps us better utilise our Hagen print management system and the add-on products we have from EFI.

The conference is often the first time we see new product features and hear about future plans, so it's important for us to be there.

The interaction with our peers is invaluable for gaining new ideas about using the system and insights in to how to stay more competitive," said Tim Uchwat, chief executive officer for Johns Byrne Company, a $25 million sheetfed printer in Niles, Illinois (USA).
