Production Response Digital Proofs Response
London prepress company Production Response is providing clients with a more efficient digital proofing service, following the installation of EFI's proofing software incorporating Best technology.
New features have been added to version 2.0 of the software - including managerial or buyer approvals, display and selection of quantity price breaks, a new file upload function for graphics and customer-supplied database files and the ability to batch download versioned PDFs to streamline print on demand production.
Version 2.0 is also the first release to support the Hagen OA management information system (MIS) product and will be fully integrated with the next version of Hagen - 8.5, scheduled to be available during the second quarter of the year.
EFI claimed that Printersite Fulfillment provides an easy to use, web-based tool to order, track and maintain finished goods inventories directly from the desktop.

The integration of Printersite Fulfillment with EFI's print management systems enables both clients and staff to accurately track quantities and order status in real-time.
As orders are placed and new work is produced for clients, inventory updates from Hagen, Logic or PSI are automatically reflected in the online product catalogue, said the company.
The product is also said to eliminate data entry errors and miscommunication with customers, moving jobs through the order process and in to production more quickly.
With its interface, self-service ordering and job status tracking requires no training, giving customers immediate accessibility to order what they want, when they want.
"The response to our launch of Printersite Fulfillment last year was tremendous - customers recognise that fulfilment services are an excellent way to gain new clients, deepen relationships with existing clients, and build new profit centres.
