EFI Looks To Make Drupa Connections
EFI, the digital imaging and print management systems specialist will showcase the productivity and revenue generating benefits of its connected workflow at Drupa 2004.
He will work closely with EFI's senior management team to develop corporate strategy and increase revenue and profitability, added the company.
EFI's chief executive officer, Guy Gecht, said: "Mark has already added tremendous value to EFI while working with us as a consultant over the last few months.
We've benefited from his broad experience and meticulous research, as well as from the creative new business development ideas he has brought to our discussions.
Mark's entrepreneurial background is also a great fit for EFI and we look forward to further contributions as he officially takes on his role." Prior to joining EFI, Adams was acting vice president for data networking, with the cordless telephones business Vtech Communications.
Before VTech, he was the founder and chief exeuctive officer (CEO) of Mspect, a wireless infrastructure business he led from concept through to its sale to Telephia.
Earlier, he was also founder and CEO of Burningpoint.com, a spin-out from Adaptec focused on digital music.
He was vice president for business development, at Adaptec, where he was responsible for a restructuring that increased the market value of the company by $5 billion.
In addition, he held high-level positions at GE Capital, Nusantara Investment Fund and Teak Investment Partners.
At McKinsey and Company, Adams specialised in strategy development and restructuring for telecommunications, manufacturing and change management programs for global corporations, added EFI.
Adams holds a Master of Business Administration qualification with distinction in strategic planning and finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and he is a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in economics from Cornell University.
