Digital Colour Print Servers At Moscow Print Shop

An EFI product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Oct 31, 2007

Kwik Kopy Printing and Kwik Kopy Business Centres have standardised on EFI Fiery digital colour print servers and Printsmith management software for its 700 worldwide locations.

Kwik Kopy has been using both systems for 15 years.

The latest centre to utilise the EFI technology, which has just opened, is in Moscow, which is part of the company's expansion in to Russia, Saudi Arabia and India.

EFI said that the Fiery servers allow for intuitive use and provide consistently precise colour, connectivity and have an open VDP workflow capability.

At the same time, Printsmith is a print management information system that is said to automate the business process and help customers improve productivity and increase profits.

Printsmith is claimed to provide direct workflow integration with EFI Fiery-driven output devices for job ticketing and data collection, allowing greater productivity improvements.

Jay Groot, president of Kwik Kopy Business Centres, said: "Since its earliest days Printsmith has been the best estimating and job management system to meet the needs of our centres.

Combined with Fiery innovation that enables us to get the most out of our digital print engines, Kwik Kopy locations worldwide are armed with the most powerful tools available today to meet customers' needs." Oleg Churakov, general manager of the Kwik Kopy Business Centre in Moscow, explained: "Many months of planning have taken place to open the first Kwik Kopy Business Centre in Russia and there was never any question that we'd be running smoothly from day one with our combination of EFI systems." And Frank Mallozzi, senior vice president of marketing and sales at EFI, commented: "Kwik Kopy is a valued EFI partner and we're proud that our industry-leading products play such an important role in their continuing global expansion.

Our robust portfolio of systems is designed to help franchise printers print to win, with products integrated from creation to print to provide increased performance, cost savings and productivity." Kwik Kopy and ICED are members of EFI's newly formed Franchise Printer Advisory Council, which was established to increase the two-way exchange of information between EFI and its customers and to facilitate communication among those in the market sector.
