Inkjet print system highlight of open days

An EFI product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jun 22, 2009

EFI will showcase its Jetrion industrial inkjet printers during a summer series of open house events that will also illustrate the digital label printing opportunity.

Starting in Chicago, US, the open houses will enable print providers to see the Jetrion 4000 UV inkjet system.

The Jetrion 4000 will be operating in conjunction with a Spartanics' laser label die cutting machine on 24 and 25 June at the Spartanics North American headquarters in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

EFI will also host an open house from 2-5 August as part of its EFI Connect users conference at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Other cities and dates will be announced soon.

EFI said that the Jetrion 4000 UV provides label converters an affordable, full-colour narrow web alternative to toner-based digital printers for label runs of up to 50,000 labels and beyond.

With claimed speeds of up to 30.5 metres per minute at more than 1,000 dots per inch with greyscale technology, the Jetrion 4000 provides full-colour label printing up to 13.9 centimetres (5.5in) wide.

The system also features Jetrion's UV4000 ink set, which is said to provide durability and reduces the need for over-laminates.

In combination with EFI's Fiery XF RIP and Xflow the inks provide colour reproduction across a range of substrates using a PDF-based digital workflow.
