Enfocus Software, the PDF-related software tools provider, has announced the full incorporation of Enfocus certified PDF technology in Fujifilm's Celebrant Extreme version 5.3.

Celebrant Extreme users can now efficiently and automatically track changes and preflight the status of PDF documents with predictability and reliability, claimed Enfocus.

As part of the agreement, Enfocus Instant PDF will also be bundled with the Celebrant Extreme system.

Celebrant Extreme is a PDF-workflow system that automates production processes to create and impose PDF files for output to proof, film and plate.

For more than two years Fujifilm has been bundling Enfocus Pitstop as a plug-in and Enfocus preflight technology was integrated through Pitstop Library.

The newly introduced 5.3 version of Celebrant Extreme integrates certified PDF technology and supports action lists within the Celebrant workflow itself.

Certified PDF is the core technology of Enfocus products, providing complete control over PDF files.

Equipped with the Smart Profile Comparison feature, certified PDF files are verified against a PDF profile with either a different name but identical checks, or with settings that are less strict than the profile used to certify the file.

The new version of Celebrant Extreme integrates the Pitstop Library, incorporating certified PDF technology, Pitstop Professional, and Instant PDF -allowing flawless creation of printready PDF files, said the company.

John Davies, Software Business Manager at Fujifilm Electronic Imaging said he is extremely pleased with the new features that are now available in Celebrant Extreme.

"Thanks to the newly incorporated certified PDF technology, we offer Celebrant Extreme users a fast track into prepress production.

Using Enfocus Instant PDF, printready PDF files are easily created.

When files arrive at the workflow, Enfocus Pitstop Library conducts the preflighting along with Fujifilm colour management tools.

Running the Enfocus certified check to validate and deliver a certified file, we can bypass an entire series of processing stages.

It's much easier and quicker than undergoing a full preflight process.

The validation of the certified PDF file is now integrated within a prepress workflow," said Davies.

The company had included the full range of Enfocus solutions to offer Celebrant users the opportunity to streamline the production of files, he added.
