The ability to automatically enhance images embedded within a PDF file has been added to Enfocus's Pitstop in a partnership Dutch firm Elpical.
New Plug-Ins For Automated Workflow System

In related news, Enfocus Software also announced the release of a Japanese-language version of Pitstop Library, the engine that is used by its OEM partners to integrate Enfocus editing, pre-flight and certified PDF technology in their workflows solutions.
Screen's Trueflow 3, JDF-based workflow system incorporates the latest Enfocus library engine.
Makoto Hirosawa, corporate officer and vice president for media technology from Screen Japan, welcomed the Japanese-language release.
"Pitstop Library significantly increases the speed and efficiency to automatically check PDF files.
A Japanese version is essential for our Japanese users to process PDF files effectively.
PDF use in Japan is rapidly maturing, so we expect the Library will generate significant interest and enhanced revenues," commented Hirosawa.
