Enfocus Software has now made Instant PDF 3.0 available in five major languages.

Enfocus Software has now made Instant PDF 3.0 available in five major languages.

Following Instant PDF 3.0's English language launch last October, full languages versions of French, Italian, Spanish and German are available at 199 Euros.

This version also includes bug fixes and is also a recommended free update for existing Instant PDF 3.0 users said Enfocus.

The company believes that the multi-language versions address a pent-up demand in the international design community for creation of error-free PDF documents that match printers' and publishers' preferred workflow specifications.

In addition, the Enfocus PDF Queue is a feature within Instant PDF 3.0 that is integrated with CertifiedPDF.net, to enable receivers to communicate their preferred quality specifications to their creative partners and customers.

Patrick Van Dam, the executive vice president for worldwide sales and marketing at Enfocus said: "International users have been actively seeking an easy and effective solution for creating and managing the PDF workflow process.

Instant PDF 3.0 gives them powerful tools to set up PDF queues in which they can embed their knowledge about PDFs and workflow.

The integration with CertifiedPDF.net makes it trivial for receivers to communicate those quality specifications to their customers.

If a specification changes, those changes are effortlessly distributed to the customers using those specifications.

With a copy of Instant PDF 3.0 on Mac or PC, designers can download printers PDF specifications - expressed by the Enfocus PDF Queue - to transparently guide the entire PDF creation and pre-flight process from the point of design and throughout the entire PDF workflow, through to prepress and output claimed Enfocus.

Enfocus PDF Queues are said to be able to be directly imported from within Instant PDF.

The built-in synchronisation feature with CertifiedPDF.net is claimed to guarantee that imported PDF Queues remain up-to-date, ensuring consistency with workflow partners.

Once imported, PDF Queues become accessible through the 'save as Certified PDF' file menu option in page layout and PDF applications such as Adobe Indesign, QuarkXPress, and Adobe Acrobat and through the PDF services feature in the Mac OSX print panel.

One of the early adopters of Instant PDF 3.0, Jon Bessant of Certitec - the UK PDF training consultancy, commented: "Instant PDF 3.0 re-writes the rule-book on how a PDF tool should perform.

Instant PDF creates total-lockdown of the parameters which can influence the quality of a PDF - practically guaranteeing a flawless, high quality PDF file.

It's so simple and it's good to see the second generation of PDF tools coming to the marketplace and the new language versions further expand the use of this versatile technology.
