PDF Workflow Accelerates Holiday Giant
PDF workflow tools provider Enfocus Software, has installed with TUI UK (previously known as Thomson Holidays) a certified PDF workflow that has dramatically increased productivity.
He has been using PDF in his own print workflow since joining Working Words in 1995.
As an early PDF adopter, he has seen just about everything that might derail a PDF-based print project.
That experience allows him to solve problems quickly and cost-effectively.
He is also a technical resource for printers, equipment suppliers, brokers and graphic designers, said Enfocus.
Tim Plumer, Jr is the director of customer programmes at Working Words and Graphics, a digital pre-press service bureau and training company based in Gorham, Maine (USA).
Plumer has 10 years of history implementing Acrobat for the business and graphic arts community.
After working as an application engineer at Adobe, he developed and led his own printing software integration and training company.
Currently, he and business partner James Lockman provide graphic arts technical services through Working Words.
Arts PDF, makers of PDF tools including Crackerjack, will also be represented in the workflow overview and discussion.
Enfocus believes that the seminars will be suitable for designers, commercial printers, quick printers and publishers that are tired of having problems working with PDF files and who want to improve their PDF workflows.
They will learn how to identify and fix problem PDF files, effectively communicate with business partners throughout the workflow process, learn tips and tricks using Adobe Acrobat 7 and Enfocus Pitstop Professional and how to accelerate production with certified PDF technology.
'Enhancing Your PDF Workflow' dates and locations include: Chicago - June 15; Minneapolis - June 16; Kansas ity - June 20; Cincinnati - June 22; Philadelphia - June 24; Denver - June 27 and Austin - June 29.
