Enfocus said that it has developed significant automation-enabling technologies, such as PDF pre-flight, PDF editing, Action Lists, and Certified PDF - all built to streamline graphic arts creation processes whilst maintaining quality control.
Pitstop Automate extends the power of those technologies to bring an advanced level of automation in the reach of every company, big and small, said Enfocus.

Pitstop Automate offers certified PDF technology found in the company's other products.
Beyond PDF pre-flight and editing, Pitstop Automate permits file sorting and conditional workflows based on file type, size and other file or document properties.
It enables splitting multiple page PDFs in to many single page PDFs, and electronic file delivery can be achieved through FTP and E-mail, said Enfocus.
Those features were made possible by a combination of Enfocus and parent company Artwork Systems' Odystar workflow technology, added the company.
As an upgrade for Pitstop Server and complementary companion to Pitstop Professional, Pitstop Automate is said to allow printers and publishers to go beyond verification of incoming files to designing complete workflows using an intuitive graphic user interface.
The product will also benefit large document creators dealing with a wide variety of output requirements, such as advertising agencies, believes Enfocus.
PitStop Automate Mac version is scheduled for release during the first quarter of this year, whilst the Windows version is scheduled for the first half of 2006.
The product and related training will be exclusively available through Enfocus's certified resellers.
Pitstop Automate will be priced at US$5999 or 4999 Euros.
