A high speed Pit Stop creaser from Encore Machinery has just completed creasing and scoring 5.5 million sheets in only one year The machine is installed at UK company Walsh Colour Print and is primarily being used to score greeting cards

"We are running it at 7,000 sheets an hour, which is three times faster than our previous Auto Creaser," said Tony Walsh, the firm's managing director.

"It means that we can put a lot more work through it.

We've recently had it serviced and are looking forward to another trouble-free year.

We expect it to process another 27.5 million sheets over the next five years before we think about replacing it," he added.

Mike Biggs, the managing director of Encore Machinery, commented: "This is a phenomenal annual volume for a compact machine like the Pit Stop.

There are very few creasers on the market that could handle this throughput so reliably.".
