Howitt in Nottingham (UK) has placed an order with Encore Machinery for an MB Prestige Fold Net 52 computer-controlled, buckle folder.

Nick Dixon, chief executive officer of Howitt, said: "I was impressed when I first saw the folder being demonstrated at Ipex 2006.

The trend is towards more targeted jobs where the speed of set-up and make-ready is important.

This machine, with its extensive automatic set-up system, is much more efficient than a conventional folder, which makes it ideally suited for short run work." Mike Biggs, managing director of Encore Machinery, commented: "We look forward to installing the folder in such a prestigious company.

It is the second piece of equipment that we have sold to the Howitt Group recently.

Earlier this year we installed a Pit Stop creaser with on-line MB 35 folder at Howitt Digital in Edenbridge.".
