B2 Folder Enables Complex Jobs Growth
Priory Press, commercial printers in Dunstable, has traded in its old folder for a new MB CAS 52 computer-controlled B2 folder from Encore Machinery.
Jobs, such as the programmes for Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, are time critical, said the company.
Richard Ball, a director at WSL, said: "All the work that is printed on our B2 5 colour Heidelberg Speedmaster and Miller presses were folded outside because we only had a small format folder.
Time is money these days and we could no longer afford to wait for the jobs to go to an outside finisher.
We had to upgrade our in-house finishing." He continued: "We specified a B2, heavy duty, combination folder with scoring and perfing.
and narrowed the choice to two folders and selected Shoei because it had all the features we wanted at a good price.
The Shoei folder is certainly making us more price competitive and we can turn the work round much more quickly." Ball explained that the Shoei SPT56 folder is saving WSL money every month, winning the company more work and he is confident that it will pay for itself in less than two years.
And he added: "Another printer recommended that we should use Encore Machinery and we too have been impressed by the company's first-class training and after-sales service.".
