New System
Single-piece mailers produced in one pass are now said to be possible with Encore Machinery's new Digimail, an all in one creaser-perforator, folder and gluer.
Digimail, which will be previewed on the Encore stand at Digital Print World, is a peelable, hot melt gluing system said to be designed for quick, easy operation requiring little make-ready The Digimail can produce a variety of glueing and folding formats that can be programmed for innovative mailings, said Encore Machinery

Trade finishers, Printsolutions in Peterborough (UK) has installed the first MB Prestigefold Net 52 folder in the UK.
The company added that the Digimail can be retro-fitted to existing on-line Pitstop/MB creaser folders, or other machines as required.
That is due to it being a mobile unit on wheels allowing integration on to other finishing lines.
Mike Biggs, Encore Machinery's managing director, said: "We believe this to be the only compact system of its kind, which will produce up to 8,000 mailers an hour.
It has been developed to satisfy customers who have bought the Pitstop digital creaser-perforator on-line to the MB38 heavy duty folder and want the versatility to use it as a mailing line.

That also eliminates the need for envelopes and reduces postage costs significantly.".
