New RIP Software For Canon Digital
Printers
RIP software for the Canon Imageprograf Series of digital colour printers is now available.
The Ergosoft profiling software, ColorGPS, is available for the Canon eight-colour and 12-colour printers and it is said to enable users to create professional ICC-profiles Developed in-house by Ergosoft, ColorGPS integrates with the company's RIP software
The RIP software, combined with the profiling software is claimed to reduce the number of misprints, whilst cutting the amount of ink used, whilst maximising output gamut and quality.
Therefore, saleable output is achieved quicker and at a lower cost, said the company.
The Canon printers feature that company's 12-colour pigment ink systems, which include the Imageprograf 5100 (17-inch width), 6100 (24-inch width), 8100 (44" width) and the 9100 (60-inch width).
The eight-colour pigment ink printers, the Imageprograf 8000S and 9000S can also be run with Ergosoft's RIP software.
