RIP Software Wins FESPA Digital Print Award
Ergosoft has received three Fespa Digital Print Awards during the FESPA 2007 exhibition in Berlin (Germany).
In the automatic mode, the user can choose the number of cutting marks, whilst in the manual mode the user can place a different number of cutting marks freely, which will then be identified by the I-cut.
That way, contours can be cut out with the minimal use of cutting marks, which reduce the amount of needed data and, therefore, increases the production speed.
For more complex patterns, additional individually placed cutting marks can be set in the Posterprint v2008 RIP software, which will increase the cutting accuracy, said Ergosoft.
At the last FESPA Digital 2008 show in Geneva (Switzerland) MGE showed and utilised the Posterprint RIP system.
MGE printed pictures of guitars and saxophones with cut marks using Posterprint v2008 on to different materials during the exhibition.
The complex shapes were then cut out precisely on cutting machinery.
Chief executive officer and founder of Ergosoft, Hans-Peter Tobler, said: "The Ergosoft team and I are very happy about this award, because it confirms our intention to be a developer of innovative high end products.
Bringing our customer oriented software development together with a leading manufacture like MGE allows us to offer the market a brilliant system.".
