ECRM Imaging Systems will exhibit violet CTP imaging technology at the Graphics of the Americas tradeshow from February 3-5, at the Miami Beach Convention Centre (USA).
The deal includes the manufacture and sale of DPX 4, DPX System, DPX Lite, Workmates and all associated software products, consumables, spare parts and related products.
The agreement was announced yesterday by Rick Black, president and chief executive officer of ECRM.
He said: "Over the last four years ECRM has designed, developed, and introduced a complete line of violet CTP machines for commercial printers and newspapers worldwide and we recently announced that we have now shipped our 1,000th CTP unit.
The acquisition of the Esko Production CTP product line allows us to better serve our customers with an even wider portfolio of products covering additional segments of the printing and publishing markets." He continued: "We are impressed with the sales and service organisation in place and we plan to continue working with the current Esko Production channel partners under the ECRM brand.
Our vision for ECRM is to be the value leader in the industry by delivering high-quality, reliable equipment that not only meets our customers' production requirements but also ensures an attractive return on investment.
We believe this acquisition is another step forward in establishing our leadership in the industry." Esko Production said that it is confident that the agreement with ECRM secures a strong home for the future of the polyester technology, which has been developed during the last 10 years.
Torben Rysgaard or Esko Production, said: "The fit between the ECRM CTP business and the polyester CTP business from Esko Production is excellent." Rysgaard will continue to be responsible for the polyester business and he said he is looking forward to serving the current customer base.
