The values that ECRM has come stand for are the same values that our marketplace will seek out at the Gulf Print show.
The demonstration of the Mako 8 will attract the industry people because an economical and reliable production system is in great demand in the market." Ken Tucker, ECRM's area sales manager, said: "Whilst demand for pre-press production tools in the Middle East marketplace is on the rise, print service providers continue to demand value for their investments ECRM has always maintained its position as the value leader in the CTP and imagesetter markets." He added: "We have a storied history of delivering no-nonsense return on investment-focused imaging systems.
With over 5,000 CTP installations worldwide and over 27,000 imagesetters in more than 110 countries around the globe, ECRM continues to demonstrate its dedication to the budget-conscious print service provider." The eight-up Mako 8 is claimed to be suitable for multi-press operations offering formats for two-page, four-page, six-page and eight-page signatures.
With a maximum format of 824mm x 1,143mm and production speeds of 19 eight-page plates per hour, the Mako 8 is engineered to keep multi-press environments efficient through flexible, fast and trouble-free operation, said ECRM.
The system is also said to accommodate any plate size between 824mm x 1,143mm and 254mm x 254mm.
The largest format provides space for eight-page jobs with all trim marks and colour bars in position.
The minimum format allows for most popular duplicator-sized presses, added the company.
ECRM claimed that the system's integrated registration system uses the same registration notches as the press, ensuring optimum imaging-to-plate-to-press registration and faster make-ready during press start up.
To accommodate the widest range of presses, the Mako 8 integrated registration system changes in a few seconds, allowing maximum flexibility in job scheduling across multiple presses.
The company said that the ability to accurately image right to the edge of the plate enables the Mako 8 to comply with the small lock-up dimensions required by today's modern presses (<8mm).
