ECRM has now an agreement with Digraph, the most important dealer covering the southern Italian region, because it too was realising this demand amongst its customer base.
Digraph was looking for a professional violet CTP system with recognised technical value." Headed by Fabrizio Fiorito, the general manager and Massimo Macchia, operations manager, Digragh has a portfolio of customers and prospects.
The Mako 8 platesetter is said to be suitable for eight-up CTP, multi-press operations, providing formats for two-page, four-page, six-page and eight-page signatures.
With a maximum format of 824mm x 1,143mm and claimed production speeds of 19 eight-page plates per hour, the Mako 8 is engineered to keep multi-press environments efficient through flexible, fast and trouble-free operation.
The system can also accommodate any plate size between 824mm x 1,143 mm and 254mm square, added ECRM.
The largest format provides space for eight-page jobs with all trim marks and colour bars in position.
The minimum format allows for most popular duplicator-sized presses.
The integrated registration system uses the same registration notches as the press, ensuring optimum imaging-to-plate-to-press registration and faster make-ready during press start-up, said the company.
To accommodate the widest range of presses, the Mako 8 integrated registration system changes in a few seconds, allowing maximum flexibility in job scheduling across multiple presses.
The ability to accurately image to the edge of the plate enables the Mako 8 to comply with the small lock-up dimensions required by today's modern presses (<8mm) and, using a straight-through plate path, the Mako 8 provides easy operation and automated delivery to a processor, claimed ECRM.
Targeted at commercial printers and digital printing service providers in central and southern Italy, Medprint is now considered the region's most successful graphic arts tradeshow.
