New Deal Responds To Violet CTP Growth

To answer increasing demand for Violet CTP pre-press systems in Italy, ECRM has signed a distribution agreement with graphic arts systems distributor Digraph.
Digraph will market ECRM products to the Italian printing and publishing markets Francois Boverat, ECRM's business development manager for the eastern hemisphere, said: "As we have seen throughout the industry, the Italian market is increasingly seeking out Violet CTP systems

ECRM said that according to graphic arts market research company Primir, the Italian print market was valued at EUR18.1 billion (US$22.5 billion) in 2005 and was projected to grow by 2.2 per cent in absolute terms throughout 2006.
During the period 2001-2006, the market grew at an average annual rate of 2.7 per cent in absolute terms.
The company added that pre-press systems sales are growing at a faster rate.
According to the Italian Manufacturers Association of Machinery for the Graphic, Converting and Paper Industry (ACIMGA), pre-press systems sales for January - September 2006 were up 11.06 per cent from the same period in 2005.
