Escher-Grad is opening a sales office in Delhi, India with the future intention of establishing a product assembly plant to supply the growing Indian market.
Escher-Grad India is scheduled to be in operation in September and will provide sales and support for South Asia.
In addition, Escher-Grad said it is in the process of establishing a master distributor agreement with the largest graphic arts supplier in south east Asia that will result in the opening of an Escher-Grad sales office in Hong Kong in October.
The agreement encompasses a well-established network of more than 60 distributors, said the company.
The two new offices join Escher-Grad Japan, opened in 2000, which continues to serve the Japanese market and Escher-Grad's Latin American liaison office in Miami, Florida (USA).
Escher-Grad's European sales operations will be merged in to Escher-Grad corporate headquarters in Montreal (Canada) with effect from September 1.
The company added that its European network of Cobalt distributors is now strong and well-established, accomplishing the company's main objective for the region.
Same time zone sales and technical support for European distributors will be maintained.
The Cobalt series of Violet CTP Systems is said by the company to be the culmination of 20 years of research, design and manufacturing work.
With over 700 installations, Cobalt is claimed to be the only complete line of violet CTP systems with models ranging from two-up to 32-up.
The Cobalt series of Violet CTP Systems is covered by the Comfortzone3 three-year parts warranty.
Montreal-based Escher-Grad Technologies is entering its 21st year in the research, development and manufacturing of high resolution laser imaging systems for the graphic arts, cartography, packaging, textile and printed circuit board industries.
The company added that as it continues on its course of planned growth, it is committed to pursue research and development of technology and systems that will bring even higher productivity and profitable performance to the industries it serves.
