Esko-Graphics' computer-to-polyester-plate technology is being shown at the Heidelberg stand at Drupa, where a Polysetter 52 will image two-up plates for printing on a Heidelberg Printmaster 52 press.

Mitsubishi Imaging is also showing four-up CTP using polyester plates on the new Esko-Graphics' DPX 4 platesetter, a product extension of the popular DPX platesetter series.

The DPX 4 is a 4-up, highly productive, fully daylight operated automatic computer-to-polyester plate system, producing imaged, processed, punched, dried and cut-to-size press ready plates as large as 680mm x 750mm (26.77" x 29.9").

The DPX 4 will be demonstrated with Flowdrive on the Esko-Graphics stand, where plates will be output live, as well as on the Mitsubishi Paper Mills stand - Hall 9, Stand C04 where Mitsubishi will output their own plates.

The Ryobi dealer Ellios will be imaging plates on the DPX-System for 2-up size plates, on its stand in Hall 15, Stand C03.

Lastra is showing its Diamond LV2 violet photopolymer plate, running live production on a high speed Platedriver 8 Automatic CTP system on Lastra's stand - Hall 04, Stand C34, and on a Platedriver Compact on Lastra dealer Saverio Rief's stand in Hall 8, Stand B 24.

Meanwhile Esko-Graphics is also demonstrating live CTP production on a series of commercially available violet photopolymer CTP plates using several Platedriver CTP devices, combined with plate processors from Glunz and Jensen A/S and Lastra Spa, supported by plate stackers from Grafoteam GMBH.

The fully automated DFP 60 stacker with plate sorter and stacker can be seen in a portrait mode configuration, sorting four different plate formats.

Violet CTP plates such as Agfa Lithostar N91-V, Fuji Brillia NV and Lastra Diamond LV2can be seen running live.

"Esko-Graphics prides itself on developing software and hardware that are truly based on open standards.

There is no greater testament to that philosophy than the demonstration of our technology partnered with solutions from other, respectable vendors," commented Ren? Delbar, Esko-Graphics senior vice-president of marketing.

"Our product development teams have demonstrated that the business relationships we cultivate are as important as the technology innovations we develop," he added.
