During the second half of 2004, Esko-Graphics announced a stronger focus on the packaging market and concentrated the small offset business solutions in a separate division lead by Torben Rysgaard.
As a result, a number of organisational changes to the sales and marketing team have now been announced.
Robert Stake has been appointed as sales manager for all sales activities in the Nordic and Baltic countries, including Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic states Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
He will be supported by Jack Frausing for the Baltic states, Finland and Denmark and Jimmy Nystrom for Sweden and Norway.
Jesper Mortensen will support the offset and the commercial print market with the company's Scope workflow and Peter Staal Jensen will handle customer services.
The marketing activities are now managed by Helga Laschet.
Stake reports directly to Armand Gougay, the vice president EMEALA.
He has been with the company since 2000.
Previously he worked as a distribution partner together with Barco and fulfilled several consulting positions within the industry.
He commented: "My main objective is to secure our partner channel in the different countries, with a renewed focus on the packaging and signage market.
We now have a strong product portfolio to address those markets.
Our Scope workflow, introduced at Drupa 2004, has been positively welcomed by the market and our customers, so we are very optimistic about the future.
With the new team we will be able to maintain a high level of customer intimacy and support our customer base in gaining a competitive edge in the market." With offices in Denmark, which will continue to support packaging and commercial print installations in Scandinavia and production facilities in Kongsberg for the sample-making tables, Esko-Graphics believes it has a special connection with the Nordic market.
The company added that it will be prominently present at important industry events and also plans a series of educational Scope seminars for its customers throughout Europe, including some of the Scandinavian countries.
"With a strong team in place to support the Nordic and Baltic countries, I feel confident Esko-Graphics will further grow its market share and broaden sales opportunities.
A number of exciting new developments and agreements for our Kongsberg range support our entry in to new markets like signage.
We also continue to further develop our Scope workflow and are announcing software upgrades to Deskpack and Backstage," said Armand Gougay.
