Esko-Graphics has been nominated as a candidate in the new innovation category of the Label Industry Global Awards competition, organised by Labelexpo.

The company said it was chosen in recognition of its leadership in packaging pre-production systems, specifically for the Scope workflow.

Scope is claimed to cover a range of workflow functions, from job and product specification, through to graphic and structural design and pre-production operations.

The second annual Label Industry Global Awards will take place during the first evening of Labelexpo Europe 2005, September 21, at Autoworld, Brussels.

The awards' judges have compiled a list of nominations and on-line voting has aslready commenced - www.labelawards.com - and voting will close at the beginning of June.

Esko-Graphics believes that Scope's nomination reflects an industry vote of confidence that the workflow effectively addresses today's complex business requirements.

Hubert Scheir, Esko-Graphics' director of marketing commented: "We are very pleased that Scope is being recognised for its robust technical capabilities in printing and packaging processes.

Scope represents a perfect implementation of our philosophy to develop value-adding hardware and software products for the packaging sector." Roger Pellow, Labelexpo's managing director, commented: "After the enormous success of last year's awards, we are pleased to announce the nominees for this year.

The line up of both individuals and companies is outstanding and it's going to be fascinating to see how the industry votes.".
