UK Sales Team Re-Shaped For Packaging Market

Esko-Graphics has re-organised its UK team to reflect its strong position in the packaging market and address new business opportunities, said the company.

Paul Bates, based at the company's UK headquarters in Redditch has been appointed as national sales manager for UK and Ireland.

He will oversee a team of four area sales managers covering all of the United Kingdom, including Peter Hargreaves for the north of England, Tony Farrell for the west of England and Ireland, John Ellworthy for southern England and Paul Hitchings as applications sales manager for CADCAM.

Marketing is supported by Tom Leyden under the leadership of Hubert Scheir, Esko-Graphics' director of marketing EMEALA.

Alongside the sales team there is added support from Lieven Plettinck, who chairs the PDF Ghent Workgroup for Packaging, Jesper Mortensen, sales manager for commercial printing and Sean Runchman in the position of corporate sales manager, EMEALA, added the company.

Paul Bates said: "We have seen significant growth in the packaging market over the last few years with increased demand for sophisticated and easy to use software.

Our Scope suite of software modules for packaging and commercial printing is answering the exact demands of the marketplace.

There is definitely a bleed within sectors such as retail, design and marketing and signage as well as packaging, all converging to supply the unique branded product.

We are expecting software sales to be sky high in 2005-2006." Armand Gougay, EFI's vice president EMEALA, added: "With a strong team in place to support the UK under Paul's supervision, I feel confident that we will further grow our market share and broaden sales opportunities.

A number of exciting new developments and agreements for our Kongsberg range support our entry in to new markets like signage, display and POP.

We also continue to further develop our Scope workflow and are sustaining our leadership in flexo platesetting.".
