Bezier, the UK in-store marketing POP company is set to overhaul it's existing CAD system by installing a complete Esko Scope software workflow with ArtiosCAD.
The investment will result in the co-ordination and integration of process management across seven sites including Wakefield, Bristol, Poole and London.
Bezier group technical director Glenn Batty, said: "With 600 employees and a turnover approaching GBP70m it is vital that we keep abreast with the latest software technology to maintain our position in the marketplace.
We deal with the design of an infinite number of different pieces of print from wide format point of purchase to flyers and direct mail.
Scope's Deskpack integrates CAD design with graphics, which offers significant benefits through the supply chain for the designer, pre-press, press room and ultimately the brand owner who can see the finished product in 3D on screen before he commits to the design." Bezier, which won the innovation award at this year's British POP Awards, provides retail media services, point-of-purchase advertising, marketing and promotional material, direct marketing, digital media and in store theatre.
The company works with a portfolio of brand manufacturers and retailers including ASDA, Boots, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Superdrug, Homebase, Honda and First Choice.
"We critically reviewed the products on the market," continued Batty.
"Esko products are a perfect fit for our business with strategic benefits, because we produce such a variety of print.
We use screen, litho and digital processes on a variety of equipment including an HP Indigo digital press, a Xerox iGen 3 as well as Inca's Columbia and Eagle flatbed inkjet printers.
Esko's Scope is modular and operationally offers us the production tools to improve efficiencies with significant time saving and less margin for error.
Increased automation speeds production and we are integrating our MIS systems with Scope across several sites." Esko's Scope software workflow integrates pre-production and process management tools throughout the entire supply chain, from design to delivery in a collaborative workflow allowing remote and distributed operations, said the company.
Scope works with open industry standards such as JDF and PDF, and most common MIS and database systems.
Bezier's strategy is to increase web-based visibility internally and externally, providing its customers with browser access to check the status of their jobs and keep them in the loop of information.
The company's customised on-line systems, back-office MIS system (Prism WIN) and Esko's Scope are fully JDF compliant.
Batty commented: "We will continue to work towards harnessing and engaging technology to fully automate all processes.
We have invested a lot of time in recent months in our infrastructure and in promoting interactive customer on-line activity.
Esko's Scope provides fundamental links in this chain.".
