Litho Supplies will also distribute the Deskpack software with the latest version of Esko's workflow software - Scope 3.

The CDI 2120, as well as Scope 3, will be exhibited for the first time at Ipex 2006.

With Deskpack, users have simple, affordable and controllable access to dedicated packaging design tools, claimed Esko.

The CDI Spark 2120 has a small footprint and is an entry-level priced CDI.

It is a dedicated digital flexo machine for smaller narrow web and label trade shops and converters who want to be more competitive, said the company.

The machine uses plates of up to 21" x 20" (533mm x 508mm) and can image a full size plate in 16 minutes at 2,000ppi.

It is said to be capable of screen rulings up to 200 lines per inch (lpi) with halftone imaging from one per cent to 99 per cent.

The CDI Spark 2120 comes with Easyclamp, to securely hold down flexo plates of any thickness on the vacuum drum.

The machine comes with the Adobe certified PostScript 3 Flexrip 2120.

It features the Adobe certified PostScript/PDF input channel with Esko screens.
