Esko, the printed packaging pre-production systems company is staging a series of seminars to introduce Scope 3, the new release of its integrated software suite The upgrade seminars are free of charge, exclusively for Esko customers and will be held in major cities throughout Europe

Customers will receive installation instructions and information about the Scope 3's new capabilities.

Dedicated seminars are available that specifically address the needs of packaging printers, as well as commercial printers.

During the upgrade seminars, customers will learn how to install the new Scope 3 features and understand the differences and new advantages compared to the previous version.

The seminars are open to all Esko customers who are using Scope, with or without maintenance contracts, or under warranty.

Scope is claimed by Esko to turn the supply chain - from brand owner or publisher to retailer - in to a straight forward collaborative process.

It is claimed to enable its users to deliver consistent quality whilst reducing lead times and eliminating costs.

The Scope 3 version contains a number of developments and new user-driven features have been added to its key applications.

Its new capabilities include an Adobe PDF 1.6 and JDF 1.3 based workflow, CAD-Graphics integration with Adobe Illustrator CS2.0 and enhanced web-based collaboration and approval tools.

It also provides new screening technology, new on-line monitoring and an improved user interface, added Esko.

Scope 3 also has an extended range of Adobe plug-ins and supports closer integration of CAD and graphics to enable packaging designers to test and proof a packaging design in 3D, working right on the desktop.

The software includes an improved web collaboration and approval tool with new on-line monitoring and maintenance tools, added the company.

Frederic Menardo, the director of customer support at Esko, commented: "World leading brand owners, trade shops, printers and packaging converters have successfully implemented Esko technology in to their global operations.

Existing Scope customers are enthusiastic about Scope 3 and eager to use the new capabilities.

The seminars will be an excellent way to communicate with our valued customer base and to ensure a smooth and efficient upgrade process." In the UK, seminars will take place in Leeds (March 28 - 30) and Redditch (May 2 - 4), whilst in Sweden, the seminars will be in Helsingborg on May 23 - 25.
