Bringing the concept of just in time production from the manufacturing industry to printing, Kodak said it will be using web-based software to show visitors how to optimise the supply chain, lower obsolescence rates and eliminate storage problems.
Using the Kodak Nexpress 2500 digital colour press, which will take centre stage at the show, Kodak will show examples of the type of material that lends itself to just in time printing and educate customers about how they can tap in to this high-margin market.
With the ever growing popularity of personalised documentation and marketing material, Kodak will demonstrate how effective and profitable it can be to incorporate variable data printing in to normal processes.
Kodak's Versamark D-Series printing systems and various software options, such as Fusionpro, Kodak's Darwin authoring software and Directype software, are claimed to allow printers to add new levels of document customisation and personalisation to set them apart from the competition.

It is also said to be suitable for barcoding, numbering, addressing, personalisation and spot colour.
