New Server Technology Serves High Volume Needs
The introduction of a new Creo Color Server system has been made by Print On Demand Solutions (PODS) Group, an independent unit of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.
The Versamark DS9100 printer, running at 300 metres per minute (1,000 feet per minute) and driven by the CS400 system controller can also be seen.
Kodak Versamark is also emphasising workflows at the exhibition with a centre dedicated to document composition and management with demonstrations of the company's software, along with systems from a number of software partners.
The centre is designed to give users a clear understanding of the range of available options to manage the entire document lifecycle.
The newest V-series system, the VX5000e, features Kodak Versamark's latest high-resolution, print technology and is driven by the CS600 controller developed jointly with EFI (formerly Electronics For Imaging).
The CS600 delivers fully integrated colour management and support for multiple data streams.
The VX5000e delivers a print resolution comparable to 1,200dpi and runs at speeds up to 100 metres per minute (325 feet per minute with a throughput of over 1,400 impressions per minute, claimed the company.

This application highlights the ease of integration of variable imaging into existing printing processes, said the company.
Several other products are also being highlighted during the conference, including the monochrome only VJ1000 printing system to the VT3000 and the D-series printers.
