Miami Systems Corporation has purchased and installed a Kodak Versamark VT3000 printing system for high-volume transactional document printing.

Miami Systems Corporation has purchased and installed a Kodak Versamark VT3000 printing system for high-volume transactional document printing Based in Cincinnati (USA) Miami Systems has been in business since 1927 and is now said to be the largest privately held business forms manufacturer in North America

The Versamark VT3000 is claimed to be capable of producing 100 per cent variable data in black, spot colour or process colour, depending on the configuration.

Miami Systems will use the VT3000 system to help clients converge transactional and promotional data into a single document in full variable colour, enabling its clients to achieve the highest value possible from their customer communications.

"When it comes to a customer communication tool, Kodak Versamark sets the standard.

The expansion of our digital print communications services (DPCS) capabilities to include the VT3000 will offer outstanding quality, the fastest printing speeds and the lowest operating costs of any digital colour system available on the market today.

Using this technology, our customers will optimise each transactional mailing opportunity through highly personalised content," said Tim Scully, vice president of sales and marketing at Miami Systems.

Miami Systems explored a number of options when it decided to expand their capabilities for high-volume transactional document production.

"We saw the uniqueness that Kodak Versamark's inkjet technology delivers in terms of speed and flexibility as opposed to the traditional toner based system.

We're very pleased that Miami Systems has selected Kodak Versamark to be its technology partner as it seeks to expand their capabilities and deliver increased value to customers," Scully explained.

Ron Gilboa, vice president of marketing at Kodak Versamark commented: "The process colour capability of the VT3000 will enable Miami Systems' customers to more effectively communicate with its customers, and delivers the performance and cost-effectiveness for Miami Systems to drive growth in the document production marketplace." The VT3000 can be upgraded from a basic simplex monochrome system to a duplex process colour system and every step in between, so that it evolves as customer business needs evolve.

The system operates at a base speed of 350 feet-per-minute (107 metres-per-minute), delivering up to 1,526 impressions per minute claimed Versamark.
