Adopt far reaching marketing to redefine printing
Kevin Joyce, who has been appointed as chief marketing officer at Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, believes that the printing industry needs to take a fresh look at how it markets itself.
Its ability to print on different stocks, including the final print stock, with its range of special colours allows for a more realistic packaging proof to be created.
In addition to the four process colours, the First Check proofer can print orange, green, black spot, opaque white, gold and silver foils and metallics, and a finish coat.
It is driven by a customised version of the renowned Best Colourproof RIP, which shows the print characteristics of the final file.
Proofing media for the First Check Desktop Colour Proofer includes four papers, a transfer file and a shrink-wrap film.
The shrink-wrap film allows packaging designers to make proofs and 3D models very accurately.
