The introduction of a new Creo Color Server system has been made by Print On Demand Solutions (PODS) Group, an independent unit of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.

Version 1.0 drives the entire system.
First shown at the Drupa show last October, the software features an Adobe interpreter for more consistency and compatibility across a variety of workflows said KPG.
RIP v1.0 also features improved management of spot colours and a more powerful linearisation system for greater proofing accuracy said the company.
Like its predecessors, the Matchprint Proofpro RIP v1.0 features KPG's proprietary Colour Fidelity Module colour management software and Matchprint profiles to ensure more accurate colour reproduction across a variety of tonal ranges to express the smallest details accurately added the company.
Proofpro 2610 includes the new Matchprint Proofpro 2610 printer.
The 24" (610mm) printer is extremely versatile.
It prints images up to 24" wide including full colour pages, two and four page press sheets and banner style pieces.
The printer features six colour printing technology and a four picoliter drop size for outstanding proof quality for both images and text.
Matchprint Proofpro Inkjet Media is said to be formulated for longevity and colour accuracy for proofing applications.
The six colour dye-based inks and dye resist fading and provide accurate colour reproduction, good colour stability and smooth gradations.
Additionally, the inks feature denser blacks that further improve colour reproduction said KPG.
The media is designed to ensure the highest quality inkjet proof possible with the proofing system.
It is claimed to be robust at 225g (8.8 mil) and features the Matchprint backprint for an expensive look and feel.
The media undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistency and quality and it delivers proofs that dry instantly and are colour stable with Matchprint Proofpro inks.
Offered in a semi-matte finish, the media is available in rolls and sheets in three tints - Superwhite, Commercial and Publication.
