Solihull (UK) based Etrinsic has announced the renewal of its four-year agreement to supply operational print management services valued at GBP 1.5 million a year to EDF Energy.

It supplies gas and electricity to five million residential and business customers through its regional brands SWEB Energy, Seeboard Energy and London Energy as well as its national brand, EDF Energy.

The company sends out over 20 million bills a year and over the three-year period, Etrinsic will supply a total of 250m envelopes, billing and associated documents to the firm.

Keith Walton, the newly-appointed chief executive of Etrinsic, said: "Issue of bills is a mission-critical activity for EDF Energy and we have shown we can deliver.

Major factors behind the contract renewal were our superior systems, the service from our account support team and our common approach to environmental and ethical purchasing." Peter Wrapson, EDF Energy's head of procurement customer branch, said: "We look forward to Etrinsic continuing to deliver the high standard of service we have been accustomed to, whilst supporting EDF Energy's corporate, social and environmental aims." Keith Walton recently led a management buyout of Etrinsic with colleague Matt Bird and five other senior managers.

The company supplies an array of client services from print and logistics to direct mail management, graphic design and data handling.
