Loader And Feeder For Commercial And News Printing
WRH Marketing has extended its Jobfolio of ancillary equipment for the commercial and newspaper sectors with the launch of the Jobfeed hopper loader and stream feeder.
The new Jobfeed joins the Jobstack range of compensating stackers and WRH Marketing said Jobfolio will be expanded with further stand-alone technology in the future.
Jobfeed can be interfaced to virtually any flat pile feeder on the market including those from Ferag, Heidelberg/Harris/AM, Muller Martini, Kolbus, Sitmas and Buhrs.
The company added that Jobfeed can be used for a range of types of work, such as newspapers, catalogues, directories, books and magazines.
The ergonomically designed units are easy to use and maintain, whilst their construction ensures they are built to last.
Changing over between jobs can be carried out quickly.
Features include variable speed and synchronised tail and side joggers.
The single, continuously arched in-feed conveyor provides excellent control of the product, resulting in fewer machine stops, less wastage and potential reductions in manpower.
The Jobfeed unit is said to be able to handle the smallest to the largest product, feeding them securely and reliably in to virtually any pocket or hopper on the market.
The pile height adjusts automatically to ensure consistent feeding.
The CE certified unit has an optional log extension, which increases capacity.
WRH Marketing UK managing director, Marcus Evans,, commented: "The implementation of Jobfeed can reduce the labour required by up to half of that needed for a typical direct pocket application, whilst the net throughput increase can be as much as 15 per cent on a normal line.
The consistent pocket pile height results in reliable product feeding, with reduced doubles and missed copies.
The mobile Jobfeed will feed at the maximum speed of any commercial gathering or stitching line running four to 64 page products." The Jobfeed SL model has a manual adjustment that allows the belt to be lowered to a flat position for feeding logs, or raised to an incline to feed palletised products.
The Jobfeed F version is designed for applications where products are being fed off pallets only (no logs) and is interfaced to Ferag Jetfeeder and RA roller hoppers.
An optional log extension conveyor can also be added for those applications requiring log feeding as well.
WRH Marketing has exclusive worldwide rights for the US made Jobfeed and handles all sales, service and spare parts for the equipment.
The Jobstack Series consists of two compensating stackers for the low to mid performance sectors.
The Jobstack 20 processes between 1mm to 32mm at speeds up to 20,000 copies per hour (cph) and is designed for use with gatherer-stitchers and perfect binders, added the company.
The Jobstack 75 has been built for use with newspaper and commercial web presses, rotary three-side cutters and inserting machines.
It can handle 75,000cph and paginations between four and 96.
